UMC Health System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for night shift to organize, sterilize, and distribute instruments in the Sterile Processing Department. The role involves processing instrument sets and ensuring sterility throughout the workflow.

Responsibilities include packaging, loading, tracking equipment, and operating the Detergent Management System, with interaction across hospital departments. High school diploma required; prior SPD experience helpful.

Formación

• Experience in Sterile Processing and/or Instrumentation Room training helpful.
• Computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Medical terminology helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Process and package instruments and instrument sets to be used in surgical procedures.
• Properly package and load items on the carriage for sterilization.
• Store, issue, and track equipment; this includes delivery and pick up from various departments.
• Operate, monitor, and exchange the Detergent Management System.
• Operate all SPD equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with sterilizers.
• Properly test equipment and document following sterility assurance guidelines.
• All other assigned related duties.
