Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking SPD Technician I/II for the Worcester, MA campus. The role involves decontamination, inspection/assembly, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and storage of instruments and equipment in a fast-paced sterile processing department.

You will work nights, ensuring safety and compliance with IFUs while maintaining an organized workspace. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion/enrollment in a CSP Technician program, and certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of, or enrollment in an accredited Central Sterile Processing Technician program.
• Certification within one year of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect/assemble, HLD/sterilize, store and distribute instruments and equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Record and follow IFUs and safety procedures during all phases of processing.
• Take charge when senior SPD Tech II is unavailable and participate in quality improvement efforts.
