Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor Sterile Processing to oversee the reprocessing of surgical instruments and sets, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across the 24-hour SPD operations.

You will supervise, mentor staff, and coordinate decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage of instruments for Surgery and ancillary units. Leadership experience and CRCST/CSPDT within six months are preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of sterile processing experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Certification such as CRCST or CSPDT within six months of hire preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Displays leadership, assigns tasks, motivates staff, and conducts evaluations.
• Teaches decontamination, instrument care, sterilization, and case assembly.
• Provides in-services and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Maintains liaison with surgical staff and surgeons to ensure smooth operations.
• Assists in budget development and variance reporting for the department.
• Ensures compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Schedules staff, monitors performance, and participates in personnel actions.
• Oversees reprocessing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation.
