Job summary

Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician under supervision to assemble and decontaminate reusable instruments, inspect for safety, and prepare trays for OR use.

You will operate washers, sterilizers, and related equipment, track inventory, and ensure compliance with AAMI, AORN, CMS and regulatory standards while delivering responsive service to surgical teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of sterile processing experience preferred.
• AAMI Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain reusable instruments and trays for processing.
• Disinfect, decontaminate, and inspect patient care equipment.
• Operate washers, decontaminators, heat sealers, and sterilizers.
• Maintain compliance with Health, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, AORN standards.
• Document lot numbers, temperatures, and monitoring results.
• Provide timely equipment delivery to OR and ancillary areas.
