Job summary

Baystate Medical Center is seeking a Service Coordinator - Sterile Processing for the night shift (10pm-6:30am), full-time. The role leads Sterile Processing operations, mentors technicians, ensures compliance with AAMI/OSHA standards, and collaborates with OR leadership to optimize workflow.

You will oversee decontamination, sterilization, and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on quality improvement and staff education. AAMI standards knowledge and clinical leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a Sterile Processing Department.
• Strong knowledge of OR instrumentation and workflows.
• CRST (HSPA) or CSPT (CBSPD) certifications required; CER (HSPA) or CSIS (CBSPD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced sterilization standards and practices.
• Mentor and precept Sterile Processing Technicians.
• Organize workflow and staff responsibilities to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain daily documentation for decontamination and sterilization processes.
• Collaborate with OR leads on purchasing needs and equipment utilization.
