Job summary

Kern Liebers is seeking a skilled 3rd shift machine operator to set up, adjust, and run the coiling line and related equipment. The role emphasizes safe operation, quality, and productivity on four 10-hour nights per week.

You will read drawings, inspect parts, perform SPC data recording, and troubleshoot using calipers, micrometers, gauges and CNC knowledge. A high school diploma is required and forklift/pallet jack experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in machine operation and setup.
• Reading drawings and inspection instructions.
• Experience with SPC and precision gauges.
• Ability to read drawings and inspection instructions.
• Knowledge of CNC machine programming and operation.
• Experience with drawings, inspections, and troubleshooting.
• Flexibility in a production environment.
• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Setup, perform required adjustments, and perform preventative maintenance on the Coiling line and related equipment.
• Oil dip/spin/pack parts as required and inspect parts per inspection plan and control plan guidelines.
• Continuously verify adherence to quality specifications using calipers, micrometers, gauges, load test, and optical equipment.
• Record data on production and quality control records and perform SPC procedures.
• Operate as many machines as possible without compromising safety or product quality.
• Operate machine at approved cycle and productivity requirements.
