Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a Spooling Lead-Fabrication for night shift in Houston, TX. This role provides daily leadership to a crew of fitters, welders, and helpers to complete work orders on time and to spec, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The candidate will coordinate with supervisors and planners, mentor team members, and drive efficient flow, ensuring all tasks align with project requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Ability to lead and direct the work of others. Exceptional attendance and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fitters, welders, and helpers have tools and materials to complete tasks.
• Coordinate with Fabrication Supervisor, Planner, and QA/QC to meet schedule and project requirements.
• Confirm work orders in a timely fashion.
• Review scope of work and advise on fabrication planned hours to Supervisor.
• Document rework and report to Planner and Supervisors.
• Keep work areas clean; ensure tools, machinery, and cords are secured at shift end.
• Ensure spools are debris-free and safe before operation.
• Mentor and train welders, fitters, and helpers.
• Address personnel issues with reports under Supervisor guidance.
• Lead daily safety meetings with the spooling team.
• Document employee call-ins and communicate with Kronos Admin and Supervisor.
• Ensure scanners are online at shift end.
• Perform safety responsibilities in area; lead 6S program.
