Job summary

Zeeco seeks a night-shift on-floor Lead to supervise fabrication and welding of burners, flares, incinerators, and related components. You will provide direction, assign tasks, and solve issues in real time to meet production schedules.

You will ensure compliance with quality standards, drawings, welding procedures and safety policies; coach new employees and lead lean improvements across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in lead, acting lead, or informal supervisory role preferred.
• Experience in welding, fabrication, machine shop operations, or first-entry manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Basic computer skills for production tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Experience with Solomon or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Must demonstrate leadership, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor night-shift fabrication and welding operations.
• Provide on-floor direction, assign tasks, and real-time problem solving to meet production schedules.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, drawings, and welding procedures.
• Promote and maintain HSE compliance, including PPE usage and safety policies.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and communicate issues to supervision.
• Support training and onboarding of new employees; mentor less experienced team members.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of equipment, tools, and processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including lean manufacturing.
• Provide input on employee performance and escalate attendance or conduct issues as needed.
