Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specimen processing experience with laboratory experience and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, sort and process specimens for shipment to referral laboratories.
• Understand test ordering policies, hospital procedures, specimen requirements and compliance.
• Knowledge of hospital LIS and ability to track specimen flow using reports.
• Print and review test reports; manage supply ordering.
• Performs remote accessioning as required; troubleshoot specimen issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients and laboratory staff; support billing requirements.
