Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processing Technician I to support a busy clinical laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. This entry-level role emphasizes accurate data entry and computer-ked tasks within a fast-paced production environment.

The position is a 13-week contract with a 3rd shift (8 PM–4:30 AM; training 10 PM–6:30 AM). Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour. Training is provided for new hires, and eligibility for benefits accompanies the assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong basic computer skills and data-entry ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform general specimen processing and laboratory support functions.
• Process specimens through areas such as A-station, presort, pickup/delivery, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
• Enter specimen and patient information accurately into computer systems.
• Identify and understand different specimen types and test requirements.
• Follow changing laboratory compliance and specimen-ordering requirements.
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Perform repetitive data-entry and computer-based tasks for most of the shift.
