• Serve as the gateway for all specimens entering the laboratory.
• Assist with aliquoting specimens and entering data in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Communicate with nurses and physicians regarding patient orders.
• Ensure specimens are delivered under proper conditions to testing areas.
• Participate in shift orientation and training of new laboratory specimen processors.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow health and safety regulations.
