The role involves coiling, setup on the slitter arbors, and ensuring proper clearances and alignment to support efficient production. The position offers a clear growth path toward Slitter Operator 9 within two years and includes compensation of $26.92 per hour plus a $2 shift differential, along with a benefits package as

Qualifications

• 1–3 years relevant work experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to learn shag truck operations.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals.
• The ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers positively.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Position coils for slitting.
• Set up slitter arbors as needed.
• Build and inspect arbors once set up.
• Regularly check horizontal and vertical clearances.
• Set up separator discs and spacers for proper fan-out.
• Operate uncoiler, hold-down rollers, peeler table, flattener rollers, crop shear, side guides, and slitter head.
• Haul coils to mills using shag truck when required.
