Job summary

Intermountain Health Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks a Sleep Tech to perform and coordinate overnight physiologic sleep studies and HSATs, while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to AASM guidelines.

The role includes supervising PSG techs, mentoring CPSGT, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Night shifts, strong communication, and patient safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High School degree and healthcare certifications required.
• RPSGT/RST or CRT license preferred; night shifts required.
• Ability to operate and maintain sleep study equipment.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight polysomnographic studies using PAP therapy interventions.
• Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
• Monitor and document patients during physiologic studies.
• Monitor and track equipment and supplies.
• Complete record keeping and charting.
• Address technical and interpersonal problems as they arise.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.
• Score studies according to AASM guidelines.
• Obtain 10 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) annually.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to PSG Tech and CPSGT.
