Job summary

Arkansas Children's Hospital in Springdale, AR seeks a Part-time Patient Care Technician for the Sleep Lab on a PRN night shift. You will assist with vital signs, daily living activities, patient flow, admissions, discharges and coordinate with care teams.

You will document care, support ED/clinic visits, and perform clerical duties while ensuring safety and quality in patient care on duty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required to qualify.
• Experience assisting with basic patient care is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient care in a safe, efficient and timely manner as delegated by licensed nursing staff.
• Documents patient care and other assignments according to department guidelines.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge as directed by licensed staff.
• Communicates patient/family information and needs to the health care team.
• Acts as a courier between ancillary departments as needed.
• Performs clerical duties including receptionist duties and supply management.
