Job summary

Allied Universal in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee on-site security operations, staffing, training, and quality assurance for a client site. The role emphasizes supervision of personnel, adherence to post orders, and daily administration including payroll and incident reporting.

This full-time night shift (Mon-Thu 8:00pm–6:00am) offers an hourly rate of $17.00, 401(k) and health benefits, ongoing training, and opportunities for career growth within a dynamic security

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass state-required training or licensing
• Must pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
• Possess one or more: military/service in auxiliary police or police cadets, 1+ year supervisory security experience, or an associate's degree or higher
• Must be 18+ (21 if armed)
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment
• Strong public interaction and communication skills
• Effective oral and written communication
• Problem solving and active listening
• Ability to assess situations quickly and accurately
• Data compilation and interpretation
• Research and information gathering
• Mediation and diplomacy in conflict situations
• Clear writing and reporting
• Teamwork and attention to detail
• Preferred: meets basic qualifications for Custom Protection Officer

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site security operations, staffing, scheduling, and training
• Ensure contract-required training and screening elements are met
• Minimize overtime per contract requirements
• Inspect security personnel and performance for service quality and contract compliance
• Handle payroll review and incident report maintenance
• Provide direction to subordinates and manage disciplinary actions
• Respond to client requests and emergency notifications
• Contribute to site security surveys and post orders
• Identify productivity and cost-reduction opportunities
• Recommend post orders and security improvements
