Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in McDonough, GA is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to keep our products moving from the Mailers facility to customers. You’ll schedule trucks, prepare documentation, verify orders, and work closely with drivers and carriers to ensure on-time, safe deliveries.

This role requires 1+ year logistics or shipping experience, forklift capability, and proficiency with SAP/WMS and Microsoft Office. You will operate in a fast-paced environment with overtime and a 7pm–7am schedule.

Qualifications

• 1+ year logistics, shipping or warehouse experience.
• 6+ months forklift experience in industrial setting.
• Familiarity with SAP or WMS software.
• Previous leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience managing accurate inventory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating flow of shipping and receiving operations.
• Plan and direct all shipping daily, ensuring accuracy of shipping documents.
• Process shipping paperwork.
• Dispatch work to forklift drivers on the warehouse floor.
• Manage workload of incoming and outgoing freight.
• Perform daily proof of billing.
• Assist loaders with questions.
• Problem solving, multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain safe work environment and ensure safety compliance.
