Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a production operator in Groton, CT responsible for preparing molds, applying slurry coatings, and operating dipping equipment to ensure consistent coatings on wax pattern assemblies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred; foundry or metals-processing experience is a plus.
• Ability to comprehend arithmetic including decimals and fractions used in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read shell process sheets and work instructions for each production part number.
• Prepare molds and pattern assemblies for processing; install fixtures as required.
• Operate robotic dipping equipment; monitor speed, cycle times and alarms.
• Maintain proper coating coverage; visually inspect molds and coatings for defects.
• Prepare and replenish slurry mixtures; clean and maintain slurry tanks and related equipment.
• Document process data on sheets; ensure safe work practices and PPE compliance.
