Job summary

Great Connections Employment Services represents a Scarborough, ON manufacturer of cardboard products hiring for Set Up Operators on the night shift. The role runs 10pm to 6am and is full-time, with a pay rate of $22-$24 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include verifying stock specifications, setting up and operating machinery, completing reports, and maintaining safety and housekeeping. The candidate should have 1–2 years machine operating experience, be able to lift 35 lbs,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of prior machine operating experience.
• Must be able to read and understand instructions and have basic reading and computer skills.
• Must be able to lift at least 35lbs and wear CSA safety boots.
• Demonstrate safety, efficiency and quality awareness on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Obtain order and verify stock specifications and condition.
• Responsible for all production activities including set-up, operation, cleanup, and suggesting improvements.
• Complete necessary administrative duties and reports accurately and timely.
• Perform tasks involving hand movements, standing, lifting, moving and packing materials.
• Submit maintenance orders to supervisor and assist with equipment upkeep.
• Adhere to company policies, Health & Safety rules and maintain good housekeeping.
• Assist other operators as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
