Job summary

Central Transport in Vandalia, OH is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a local dock/terminal team and ensure safe, efficient operations. Responsibilities include overseeing unloading, forklift traffic, scheduling up to 30 drivers, and maintaining KPI targets while complying with DOT/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

Experience managing a team, preferably in transportation operations.
Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry.
Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking.
Strong leadership skills including hiring, coaching, training, and mentoring.
Willing to work 50 hours/week, nights/weekends, in all weather.

Responsibilities

Oversee operations for your designated section of the terminal dock.
Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel.
Monitor dock production and KPI performance.
Ensure safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.
Coordinate unloading, forklift traffic, and proper palletized freight.
