Job summary

The Children’s Museum is seeking a full-time Security Assistant for the 3rd shift to provide exceptional customer service and general security support to visitors and staff. The role focuses on monitoring CCTV cameras, communicating incidents to on-duty officers, and managing security controls after hours.

Responsibilities include emergency response, crowd control, and assisting with evacuations. The incumbent must be familiar with control room procedures and safety protocols and work 11 pm–7

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and security operations.
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
• Cash handling and basic computer data entry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras and control room systems after hours.
• Route emergency calls and coordinate with Shift Manager.
• Ensure visitor and campus security and assist during evacuations.
• Participate in emergency drills and Safety Warden program.
• Maintain attendance and follow the Standards and Expectations manual.
• Support museum operations and assist staff during events.
