Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Patrol in Roanoke, VA, to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver excellent customer service as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Criminal background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution location, including loading areas, parking lots, entry points, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations through required reports and logs.
