Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol DCJS Licensed in Roanoke, VA to protect clients across financial institutions and more. You will maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and support access control with professional communication.

The role is a full-time position with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour. You will conduct patrols, respond to alarms, document visitor activity, and coordinate with emergency responders while upholding a caring, compliant security culture.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Virginia DCJS license required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws.
• Criminal histories considered per law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing depends on state/local rules.
• Driver's license needed for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a financial institution following policies and emergencies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in banking areas, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, document activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with responders.
• Report concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations per procedures.
