Job summary

Direct Supply, Inc. in Milwaukee is hiring a Security Officer to maintain a safe, secure work environment and deliver outrageous customer service to Partners and campus visitors. The 10:00pm–6:00am shift on weekdays includes a weekend rotation every 2–4 weeks as needed.

You will perform badge access management, inspections, and safety tasks, with training provided for First Aid and CPR. Ability to climb ladders and lift 35 lbs is required, along with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years education in a criminal justice, or similar field of study, or 4+ years of related work experience.
• Valid, unexpired driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Prior law enforcement experience; Familiarity with the healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests from Partners with access badge issues and replaces damaged or lost badges.
• Conducts monthly building and equipment inspections.
• Installs event signage and traffic control devices pre-event.
• Ensures interior lights are off and systems armed/disarmed per schedule.
• Inspects Wellness Center lockers for residual property.
• Performs safety and security tasks with emphasis on outrageous customer service.
• Identify and communicate risks to Partners, visitors, property and brand.
• Respond to emergencies with First Aid/CPR as needed (training provided).
• Investigate and document safety incidents and actions taken.
• Manage safety information through ticketing software.
• Perform weekly and monthly inspections of safety equipment.
• Utilize security technology to monitor conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
