Job summary

University Health KC's UH Lakewood Medical Center seeks a Public Safety Security Officer to cover 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, 40 hours weekly. You’ll be the first line of defense, keeping staff, patients, and visitors safe and welcomed in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining a peaceful environment, responding swiftly to emergencies, and supporting staff across shifts. Candidates must meet licensing requirements and be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and multiple

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain Private Security Officer License within 20 days of hire.
• Ability to own purchase Glock .40 caliber within 20 days of employment.
• Willingness to requalify annually at the shooting range.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and different locations.
