Job summary

Cleveland Electric Company is seeking a Safety Manager to join our safety team at the Atlanta airport site. The role focuses on developing and enforcing safety policies, delivering training, and ensuring OSHA compliance to protect workers in a high-risk industrial environment.

Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, leading hazard assessments, and coordinating monthly safety audits while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial construction experience.
• OSHA 30, 510 required.
• CSP, OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Strong leadership skills; ability to teach others and lead a department.
• Comfortable speaking in public settings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities.
• Proficient with computers, phones, and office equipment.
• Knowledge of State & Local Codes, CFR 29 1926 & NFPA 70E.
• Knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Understanding Focus Four and Hierarchy of Controls.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and mitigating hazards using the hierarchy of controls.
• Conduct frequent site tours, observe work processes, correct safety deficiencies, and coach staff.
• Oversee lockout procedures on site.
• Complete comprehensive daily safety inspections and document corrective actions.
• Perform monthly audits: Rigging, Fall Protection, Grounding, Temporary Power GFCI, ARC Flash PPE.
• Produce weekly Toolbox Topics relevant to jobsite activities.
• Deliver safety orientation and training sessions to employees.
• Injury case management.
