Job summary

Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across all ages in East Peoria, IL. The RRT performs diagnostic procedures, manages ventilators, administers gases, and delivers prescribed treatments with strong clinical judgment.

This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week with 12-hour shifts, night scheduling, and competitive pay plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Current state license as an RCP or eligibility within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS may be required for certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care per protocol and orders.
• Administer medical gases and respiratory therapies.
• Operate mechanical ventilators and airway devices.
• Perform airway clearance, oxygen titration, and emergency management.
• Document care and interventions in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and home care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize treatment.
• Maintain respiratory equipment and department readiness.
