Steel Technologies LLC is seeking a Roll Grinder to set up and operate grinding equipment per customer specifications and work orders. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and accurate recording of tooling data.

This position involves occasional training on different shifts and requires lifting up to 75 pounds and operating forklifts or overhead cranes to move materials safely.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate grinding to meet customer specs and production requirements.
• Use measuring tools (tape measure, micrometers, calipers, profilometer) to verify tolerances.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements while operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up grinder and determine appropriate tooling for grinding operations.
• Ground tooling per customer specs including crown and finish.
• Record grind data: date, stock removal, finish, hardness, and O.D. measurements.
