Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for Cornell 2, our Medical Oncology Unit. This is a full-time night shift (12 hours) with a 1:5/1:6 patient–nurse ratio and comprehensive orientation.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and quality initiatives under the department manager, with opportunities for professional development and recognition for excellence.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• RN license active in Virginia or Compact State.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• 18+ months of acute care RN experience.
• Post-surgical area experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the department and improve safety and quality initiatives.
• Lead workflow simplification and support staff development.
• Promote high staff satisfaction and Gold Standard customer service.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Cornell 2 Medical Oncology Unit.
