Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Cornell 3 Medical Surgical Unit. This full-time night shift (12 hours) offers a collaborative, patient-centered environment with a 24-bed unit and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (MSN preferred), is licensed as an RN, and has at least 18 months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• MSN preferred
• RN license required
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• 18 months acute care RN experience required
• Post-surgical area experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for delivery of nursing care.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on workflow simplification, and contributes to staff development.
