Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Unit Coordinator for 3 North Med Surg. This full-time night-shift role runs 7 PM–7 AM with rotating weekends. The RN Unit Coordinator provides clinical leadership, guiding the delivery of nursing care on a 21-bed Med/Surg unit and supporting safety and workflow improvements.

Minimum BSN is required; MSN is preferred. RN licensure and BLS within 90 days of hire are required, with 18 months of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required; MSN preferred.
• Registered nursing license is required.
• BLS certification due within 90 days of hire.
• 1.5+ years nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for nursing care on the department.
• Lead safety and quality initiatives and workflow improvements.
