St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift position delivering direct patient care in accordance with established policies and protocols.

The role involves a mix of 12‑hour and 8‑hour shifts, with every other weekend and rotating holidays. You’ll join a Magnet-designated hospital offering strong support for nurses, including residency, tuition assistance, loan forgiveness, wellness programs, PTO, health insurance, and on‑site parking.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Identifies patient needs to provide individualized care.
• Delegates care to nursing staff to maximize performance.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
• Develops and revises individualized plans of care.
• Engages in professional growth activities.
