St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for night shift with every other weekend, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., and rotating holidays.

You will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. We offer automatic enrollment into the Nurse Residency Program for new graduates, plus strong benefits including tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, paid time off and health insurance.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.

Aufgaben

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel consistent with their education and expertise.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and provides input to meet outcomes.
