Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.

The role requires an CT RN license, BLS, and an associate degree (BSN preferred). You will coordinate care across disciplines, monitor patient progress, and participate in discharge planning while working every other weekend night shifts 7:00 pm–7:30 am with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Connecticut RN license required; BLS required.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient status.
• Acts as primary coordinator of care across disciplines.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with the care team.
• Provides individualized care considering physical, psychosocial, cultural and age-related needs.
• Delegates care appropriate to staff education and expertise.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary rounds.
• Contributes to ongoing professional development.
