Job summary

PeaceHealth in Washington state seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a CDU/ED SAFE-SANE role on a 0.90 FTE night shift. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly salary range and a potential signing bonus/relocation assistance.

The RN will provide short-term monitoring in CDU, support SAFE/SANE examinations in ED, advocate for survivors, and collaborate with ED staff, law enforcement, and community resources.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Minimum of one year of recent acute care medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Experience in telemetry, progressive care, or step-down nursing.
• Experience caring for victims of sexual assault.
• Experience performing SAFE/SANE examinations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care aligned with evidence-based practice standards.
• Monitor patients in the CDU and coordinate care plans.
• Perform SAFE/SANE examinations and advocate for sexual assault survivors.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, ED teams, law enforcement, and community resources.
• Delegate and coordinate care with other healthcare team members.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional development initiatives.
• Foster a compassionate, patient- and family-centered care environment.
