Job summary

Banner Health's Transplant PCU at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking experienced PCU nurses for full-time night shifts. The role supports renal and liver transplant patients, with team collaboration across social workers, pharmacists, and physicians. A leadership mindset and ongoing mentoring are encouraged.

Qualified candidates will hold an active RN license, BLS certification, and ideally a Bachelor’s degree. Prior acute care in telemetry/ICU or similar areas is valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required by area.
• Experience in the clinical area applied for is desired.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience for Banner Registry/Travel roles.
• Past 12 months RN experience in the specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and discharge planning.
• Formulate and revise plan of care with patient/family input.
• Implement and supervise nursing care per physician orders and policy.
• Evaluate patient progress and teaching outcomes.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the record.
• Contribute to unit leadership and nursing quality initiatives.
• May supervise staff and coordinate care across shifts.
• Communicate clearly with health care team, patients, and families.
• Collaborate with hospital departments and providers to ensure safe care.

Education

RN licensure (state of practice) or compact licensure
