Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical/Neuro Stepdown unit. The role involves delivering safe patient care using the nursing process, with night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am.

You will collaborate with physicians, guide patient/family teaching, and maintain privacy while upholding standards of care. BLS/ACLS required, one year acute care experience preferred; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current valid State Registered Nurse License
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• ACLS (AHA) certificate required within 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition, monitoring, and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
