Job summary

UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill is seeking a Clinical Nurse for a 36-hour-per-week night shift (7pm–7am) position in the 6 Memorial unit. You will provide competent nursing care, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications include graduation from a school of professional nursing, NC RN licensure, and BLS certification. BSN preferred or enrolled within seven years.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed RN in North Carolina (RN licensure).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Education – identify learning needs of self and others; use patient education materials.
• Evaluation of care – participate in evaluating patient outcomes and care plans.
• Implementation – provide care for patients with complex needs following standards and policies.
• Leadership – support goals and collaborate across departments to promote safe care.
• Patient assessment – synthesize data to set care priorities and plan discharges.
• Planning – coordinate with patient/family using multidisciplinary resources.
• Research – stay informed on studies applicable to practice.
