Job summary
El Paso Behavioral Health System is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and coordinate all nursing personnel on the night shift. Under the Chief Nursing Officer, you will ensure quality nursing care and supervise clinical activities to meet performance standards.
Requirements include 2–4 years psychiatric nursing experience, Charge Nurse or supervisory experience, and a current Texas RN license.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
- 2–4 years of clinical psychiatric nursing experience; charge nurse/supervisor experience preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
- Must pass a medication administration exam; CPR certification required; Handle With Care training during orientation.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and coordination of nursing personnel.
- Ensure quality nursing care using the nursing process and Texas Nurse Practice Act.
- Develop, coordinate and implement clinical activities and staff development.
- Meet unit goals, objectives and standards of performance.
