Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the Behavioral Health department. This full-time night-shift role (7:00p–7:30a) oversees administrative functions, directs staff, and collaborates with leadership to implement performance improvements.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license (BSN preferred) with BLS and ACLS certifications; 2+ years nursing experience with 1 year in a supervisory role is preferred. Sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• Assists Department Director in daily operations, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees department orientation and training of personnel and ensures staff communication with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within the scope of practice and ensures efficient department operations.
