Job summary
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Part Time Night Staff Nurse to provide high-quality inpatient care on a 26-bed unit designed for adult medical, surgical and cardiac patients. You will collect data, plan individualized care, and coordinate treatment with a multidisciplinary team.
The role requires a BSN or ADN with a commitment to obtain a BSN, active IL RN license and BLS. You’ll join a team focused on patient-centered care, with rotating weekends and opportunities to grow within the
Qualifications
- BSN required or equivalent with commitment to obtain BSN if ADN
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities and data-driven care planning
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes patient data to plan and evaluate care
- Directs and coordinates nursing care for acutely ill patients
- Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and staff
- Participates in shared governance and unit projects
- Documents patient responses and updates plans based on outcomes
- Uses evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions
