Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

• Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Performs a comprehensive assessment on assigned patients and documents results.
• Communicates changes in patient's condition promptly.
• Develops and updates nursing care plans with measurable goals.
• Coordinates discharge planning and referrals as needed.
• Educates patients and families using teach-back methods.
• Ensures safe medication administration and barcode verification.
• Collaborates with care team to meet unit quality metrics.
