Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit in Park Ridge, IL. The 25-bed unit provides care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring for medical, surgical, or cardiac issues, and ventilator support as needed.

This Magnet-designated, level 1 trauma, teaching hospital offers exposure to complex cases and a supportive nursing culture to grow professional skills. The role is a full-time night shift (7p-7a).

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association) and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Requires 1 year minimum of Medical/Surgical nursing experience to be considered.
• Vent experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
