Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Dubuque, IA is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift on the Rehab Unit. The RN provides safe, evidence-based care for acute medical and surgical patients, supervising licensed and support staff.

Strong communication with physicians and families is essential. Requirements include an Associate degree in nursing, Iowa RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS if telemetry is used; 3 months of Mandatory Reporter training is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required if telemetry monitoring is in use.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessment and identifies patient problems.
• Develops and updates plan of care based on needs.
• Implements and monitors outcome-based care plans.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises goals accordingly.
• Communicates clinical information to the team to optimize outcomes.
• Demonstrates clinical competence across care settings.
• Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
• Provides age-appropriate care and adheres to safety policies.
