Job summary

Summit Healthcare Mgmt is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7pm–7am shift at our Leland, North Carolina facility. You will provide nursing care, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans.

Responsibilities include reassessment, medication administration, documentation, handoffs, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in clinical care preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards in an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and developing nursing care plans.
• Assesses patient status and communicates findings to providers promptly.
• Transcribes and reviews provider orders and ensures required elements are present.
• Administers medications accurately with two patient identifiers.
• Notifies providers of significant changes in patient status and lab results.
• Maintains thorough documentation of care, handoffs, and patient assignments.
• Collaborates with the treatment team and participates in unit activities.
