Summit BHC in Leland, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7am-7pm shift to provide comprehensive nursing care on an acute behavioral health unit. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, develop and evaluate individualized care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.
The role requires an active RN license, graduation from an approved nursing program, and CPR with de-escalation/restraint training; prior behavioral health experience is
Competenze
- Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
- One or more years’ nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery.
- Valid RN license in state or compact state; CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification preferred.
Mansioni
- Provide and coordinate nursing care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and developing care plans.
- Assess patient status and communicate findings to providers.
- Administer medications adhering to policies and two identifiers.
- Document thoroughly and ensure patient safety on all shifts.
- Educate patients and families about medications, rights, and care plans.
- Notify supervisors of significant changes in patient status and escalate as needed.
