Job summary

Summit BHC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift on-site role in North Carolina. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, develop individualized care plans, and ensure safe administration of medications while maintaining precise documentation.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in NC or compact state.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in behavioral health/psychiatric settings preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care by assessing health needs of patients and developing care plans.
• Supervise care provided by LPNs, CNAs and other staff on assigned unit.
• Assess, document, and reassess patient status and communicate changes to the team.
• Administer medications using two patient identifiers; document accordingly.
• Maintain accurate medical records and educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team and escalate concerns to supervisor or physician.
• Assist with admission/discharge processes and ensure patient safety.
