Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Post-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for the full-time night shift (3-12s). The Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital performs extensive surgical care in a modern, patient-focused environment.

The RN will provide direct patient care, implement orders, document in the EHR, educate patients and families, and assist with safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 60 days of hire).
• Two years of RN experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry, or one year Critical Care/Emergency/PACU; post-surgical ortho/spine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice.
• Implement physician orders and document medications safely.
• Document patient assessments and status in the EHR.
• Provide education to patients and families about care.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
