Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Post-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse for the Night shift (3-12s) to join the Post-Surgical Unit. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, implement orders, document in the EHR, and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires an accredited RN program graduate with Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS (within 60 days), and 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry experience (or 1 year CC/ER/PACU).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA) must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Two years of RN experience in Med‑Surg/Telemetry, or one year Critical Care/Emergency/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Implement physician orders, administer and document medications safely, and provide nursing interventions as necessary.
• Perform accurate, timely documentation in the EHR reflecting patient condition and treatment.
• Maintain complete documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Provide education to patients and families about care and expectations.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in all interactions.
• Utilize email and computer systems to manage staff communication and coordinate care.
