Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX, affiliated with Baylor Scott & White, seeks a PRN Post Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join the Post-Surgical Unit. The RN provides comprehensive care to post-surgical and telemetry patients, delivering safe, patient-centered services in line with the hospital's mission and regulatory standards.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS within 60 days, and 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry or 1 year

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Texas RN License. BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Two years Med-Surg/Telemetry or one year CC/ER/PACU experience.
• Post-surgical experience in orthopedics or spine highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice.
• Administer and document medications safely and implement orders.
• Document patient condition and treatment in the electronic health record.
• Maintain complete documentation of assessments, interventions and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about care and expectations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold safety standards.
