Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a PRN Post-Surgical/Telemetry RN to join our Post-Surgical Unit team. The RN provides comprehensive care to post-surgical and telemetry patients, complying with hospital policies and collaborating with physicians, staff, and families.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS within 60 days of hire, and 2 years RN Med-Surg/Telemetry experience or 1 year in CCU/ED/PACU; ortho/spine

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited RN program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA) within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within RN scope of practice per hospital policies.
• Implement physician orders and administer medications safely.
• Document patient conditions, treatments and disposition in EHR.
• Maintain accurate nursing assessments and care plans.
• Educate patients and families about care expectations.
• Ensure safety and infection control practices.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
• Utilize email/EHR for coordination and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
